Pradhan Mantri Sahaj Bijli Har Ghar Yojana – ‘Saubhagya’ a new scheme was launched by the Hon’ble Prime Minister in 2017. Under Saubhagya free electricity connections to all households (both APL and poor families) in rural areas and poor families in urban areas will be provided. The prospective beneficiary households for free electricity connections under the scheme would be identified using SECC 2011 data. However, un-electrified households not covered under SECC data would also be provided electricity connections under the scheme.
Salient Features of the mobile application shall include :
1. The Mobile Application is required to be developed for consumers to serve legal electricity service connection under various purposes like Domestic, Non-Domestic, Agriculture, and Industrial etc.
2. The Survey of the Consumer and its households will be done through the Mobile Application and the details of the connection served to the consumer will be captured through the same as soon as the legal connection is served at the consumer premise with the needful.
3. Surveyor can view, do the needful survey taking down the needful information required and saving up the same.
4. The status of the served connection will be updated through the Saubhagya Mobile Application through the Mobile Application login which will have a functionality of Updating the status of the consumer application, which was surveyed by the surveyor and closing up the same.
